Starr has been in the news a bunch with the release of his new album. Just today there were published reports about how much he hates technology.
“I don’t do email. Because people keep emailing me! You spend your life replying to emails so I don’t. I have a mobile phone. But I don’t carry it. Why do I need it?” Contactmusic quoted him as telling British chat show host Jonathan Ross.
“I know I’m coming here so why do I need to carry it? But it’s there if I want to carry it. And no, I don’t text,” he added.
Yesterday Starr got pissed when he was asked to cut short a performance on Regis and Kelly. They wanted him to take a song from over 4 minutes to 2 and a half. He declined and walked off the set. There was a ton of promo time devored to Ringo being on the show– but Tuesday no mention at all about why he was not there.

One of folk and rock and rolls best died this past weekend. John Stewart died in San Diego. The headlines said the “guy who wrote Daydream Believer for the Monkees died”. A sad way for him to be remembered. There was so much more. He replaced Dave Guard in the Kingston Trio in 1961 and was with the group until the late 60’s. John wrote several big country music hits including Rosanne Cash’s Runaway Train. He recorded a ton of wonderful solo albums.. sadly none had any real commercial success. Sleep in peace my friend…sleep in peace.

I’m not really sure I believe this but—-
Paul McCartney has denied recent reports claiming that he recently
underwent heart surgery. The Beatles legend explains that “a minor
irregularity” was discovered during a checkup, but doctors subsequently gave
him a clean bill of health. “The media reports have, as usual, completely
distorted the story,” writes McCartney. “I feel great and I have
passed my most recent medical with flying colors.
My Take: I can’t see why anyone on Heather’s camp would spread rumors that would get sympathy for Paul— SO I’m guessing that Paul is lying— Anyone??

Ringo says “no”.
The former Fab Four drummer quashed the idea of reforming the legendary band with Harrison’s guitarist son filling in for his late father - because performing without the group’s original members would be too painful.
He says, “There is no chance of seeing us getting back together with any of our children, this is no chance of us getting back together. It’s very difficult now because two of us have gone.”
John Lennon was shot dead in 1980 and George Harrison died of cancer in 2001.
But the 67-year-old has not completely ruled out a musical collaboration with McCartney in the future.
He adds, “As players there is no reason why we can’t get back together but don’t get excited about the summer (when McCartney is scheduled to play in Liverpool, England) - he is on his own.”

I spent a great couple of days in Las Vegas. Great weather, good fun and yummy food. But I did not have my laptop so no posts. I need to get Producer Dan up and running soon so he can add his words of wisdom. I did have a chance to see “LOVE” at the Mirage while I was in Vegas. The music was great– the performance was ummm— French. We will do a full review on the show
